Top 10 Valentine’s Day Freebie: Romance Books that Remind me of Flowers!
GIRLS DON’T WANT FLOWERS FOR VALENTINE’S DAY! WE WANT BOOKS! So here’s some books that reminded me of some flowers and why!
-Orchids are beautiful and sometimes can continue to bloom for years. In Coming Home, the novella by Kennedy Ryan, they were away from each other for years, and even after all that time they still had love for each other. It never went away, it just sat for years. And then when they finally got together, their love bloomed like nothing ever happened.
-Tulips have a beautiful cup-shape, representing a lover’s heart. This reminded me of Last Chance Dance because this novel is full of teens and trying to find love. They’re going to this Last Chance Dance where before the dance the teens put down their 3 crushes and then get a wildcard pick. They’re supposed to date all their matches and their wildcard before deciding who they will be asking to the dance. Soooo you see where I’m going with this lol
-Sunflowers are a symbol of admiration and loyalty and represent happiness. This is exactly what Sunshine is to Ace and what their love represents. I don’t think there is a better match for this flower.
-Daisies are symbols of true love. It’s composed of 2 flowers that blend together so well. This book is basically the same. Cassandra and Apollo are in love but they don’t want to say anything. Cassandra worked for Apollo and Apollo didn’t approach her because of that. But Cassandra knew literally everything about him and was the embodiment of the good woman behind the man. Without her he couldn’t be. Just like the way the daisy and the two flowers.
-Carnations grow on strong, straight stems are long-lasting. This is how I Got You is. When I tell you Genesis was not playing with her as soon as he met her. Immediately he knew he wanted to be with her. And he let her know it. He was straight to the point. And once they got together, neither one of them wanted to let go and we all knew their love would be long lasting!
-Sweet Peas have intense color just like the personality of Siobhan, the love interest in Friday I’m in Love. Also like the cover itself.
-Dahlias bloom the more they are cut. This reminded me so much of both of these books. All the characters went through some things. And I mean bad things. But they didn’t let it stop them. They came back better than ever.
-Peonies are said to symbolise happy life and marriage……. And well, get to the epilogue of Mistakes Were Made….. Because Lord knows everyone should read this lol
-Irises are sometimes found outdoors where they attract butterflies and hummingbirds. In Talia Hibbert’s new YA they don’t attract those animals, but they do spend time outdoors and I think this would be one of the plants they’d have to identify lol
-Did y’all think you’d make it out of here without me talking about The Davenports? Ha yeah right. Peruvian lilies have multiple blooms and The Davenports has multiple POVs. Rich, well-drained soil is needed to grow these exotic flowers and most of these characters are rich or have grown up thinking they were. These seem shallow, but both have the perfect effect.

Oh wow! What a topic! So creative too! I don’t know if I would be able to liken a flower to a favorite book. I feel like most of them would end up being a dark colored one since I read so many paranormals! I guess my fantasy reads could bring in a cheerful one, but then bad things happen in there too! Lol.
