Two for Tuesday: Texas judge grants ab0rtion exemption to women

These themes will vary! It could be based off of some book mail I just received, pop culture, something personal to me, a headline from the news, a trend I noticed when I was buying books for my library system, etc. I hope you stick around to see all the themes and book recs I come up with!

Today’s Theme: Texas judge grants ab0rtion exemption to women:

This is a small win, but a win is a win. I put this as my WoW last week and then later that week it was a Download Now on Netgalley. I downloaded it immediately. And the fact that the women of Texas got this small win, at the same time I got this book I was even more excited for it. This book features a teen going across the country to get an abortion. And to make it even better, this teen is leaving from Texas. I can’t wait to read this story of this young woman making the best choice for her own body and life.

This book is basically about the same thing. Except in this one her boyfriend is a weirdo and deserved to be arrested. But these are the things those other people praise because they took her choice away. So she had to go across the US to get an abortion. One difference in this one is the MC Veronica has no one and ends up becoming friends with someone she never thought she’d be friends with.

There is another book that I thought fit this topic, but I didn’t choose it because it’s set in Nevada where the women there still have the ability to make choices. This book shows both sides of it and I think both sides deserved to be shown. Because women deserve to be able to make the choice that works best for them.

Well, there you go! Here I’m just going to talk about why I grouped these two books together. I hope you enjoyed a look at this small part of the book. For a full synopsis of the book or to add it to your TBR, click the picture and it will take you to their Goodreads. The link on the caption will take you to it’s Storygraph.

Will you read these? Let me know in the comments! Dumb ass comments will be deleted. Don’t try me.
