Two for Tuesday: Shift Happens!

These themes will vary! It could be based off of some book mail I just received, pop culture, something personal to me, a headline from the news, a trend I noticed when I was buying books for my library system, etc. I hope you stick around to see all the themes and book recs I come up with!

Today’s Theme: Shift Happens

Do I know literally anything about F1 Racing? Nope. Will that stop me from reading this? Also no. I have been patiently waiting for this one since I saw the cover. I love the bright colors and obviously I’m excited because of the Black girl on the cover. And this one has the brother’s best friend trope and my FAVE, friends to lovers. I am definitely interested in how deep into the F1 world we’ll go since I don’t know much about it. I anticipate Googling at lot with this one. And I can’t wait lol (Out 7/23/24)

This one seems to be a bit different, but I’m like equally excited for this one too. This one has a woman in STEM and an F1 Driver and it sounds so good. This one also has hate to love, so I was a little iffy about it, BUT I heard it was “hawt” so we shall see. Also, I think this was an interesting angle, to have them both be involved in the F1 scene. I wonder if the author is really into too. And how much is in the actual story. Because y’all know I love a sports romance that actually has the sport in it. I can’t wait to find out! (Out 10/8/24)

This is the original one I wanted to add over Double Apex because of the 2sLGBTQ+ rep, but then I saw that it’s only in the UK right now. Since I’m in the USA, I didn’t want to get anyone’s hopes up. (Yes some people are getting approved, but there’s also some people <ME> that aren’t and I don’t want to make anyone mad lol) This one has a seasoned vet and a rookie that are different in every way who find love off the track. Ugh I hope I’ll be able to read this somehow!

Well, there you go! Here I’m just going to talk about why I grouped these two books together. I hope you enjoyed a look at this small part of the books. For a full synopsis of the book or to add it to your TBR, click the picture and it will take you to their Storygraph. The link on the caption will take you to it’s Goodreads.

What about you? Do you like sports romance? Have you watched or read F1 before? Will you read any of these? Let me know in the comments!
