These themes will vary! It could be based off of some book mail I just received, pop culture, something personal to me, a headline from the news, a trend I noticed when I was buying books for my library system, etc. I hope you stick around to see all the themes and book recs I come up with!

This Week’s Theme: Oddly Specific- Senior Living
This came up to me randomly lol I had actually not heard of this book, but when I saw it in a giveaway I knew I needed to read it. No doubt this is one of the weirdest plots I’ve read, so it’s crazy that it happened twice. So in this one the MC loses a job and then moves in with her grandma to a nursing home. She becomes the person over the events and they start doing cool stuff like spicy book clubs. There’s a connection to a guy here too but I won’t go more into it because of spoilers. Now this is all an assumption because I’m still reading it, but it is SO MUCH LIKE the other book I picked today. But the characters are way different! I think this is what makes the stories still so good and still so entertaining. So even though they’re still so much alike, there’s also room for them to be so different as well. [This book is adult and is out now!]
This was the book I had actually heard of out of the two. As a Julie Murphy stan I was already on pins and needles waiting for this book. In this one, the MC leaves her job because of a guy and moves in with her grandma where she becomes the person to guide their activities. All of this I know for sure because I read it as soon as I was able. Like I said this one also has a guy, but I won’t say what the guy was to her or what they were doing for spoilers, but just know he was there. I think this is the most Oddly Specific book pairing I’ve done so far, so I need y’all to go read them both. And like I said, since these are so similar, go read it and find the differences like I did. I’m also curious which one y’all will like more, and your age. Once you read it you’ll understand why I asked LOL One of the MCs is half the other’s age, but I won’t say which one is who LOL I guess you’ll just have to read them both and find out! [This book is adult and is out now!]
Well, there you go! Here I’m just going to talk about why I grouped these two books together. I hope you enjoyed a look at this small part of the books. For a full synopsis of the book or to add it to your TBR, click the picture and it will take you to their Storygraph. The link on the caption will take you to it’s Goodreads.

What about you? Have you read either of these? Will you pick one of them up now? Let me know in the comments!
