Two for Tuesday: New Books by Palestinian Authors!

These themes will vary! It could be based off of some book mail I just received, pop culture, something personal to me, a headline from the news, a trend I noticed when I was buying books for my library system, etc. I hope you stick around to see all the themes and book recs I come up with!

Today’s Theme: New Books by Palestinian Authors

First off, this cover is adorable lol I love the colors and the art and just everything about it… But also it’s the fact that this is about and by a Palestinian woman and I wanted to show my support where I could since we were told any donations weren’t getting in to Gaza right now. So I made sure to request this at my library and place it on hold as soon as I can! (Which would be today because it’s out today!)

I’m actually reading this right now and I’m loving it. I found out while doing some research that the author is half-Palestinian and half-Honduran! And the fact that he’s a YA author made me want to help support him even more. For those that don’t know, he is also a literary agent and I really think helping out by reading/reviewing/buying books that he’s worked on would also be a pretty bad ass move in helps to supporting him (and the authors while you’re at it!)

Well, there you go! Here I’m just going to talk about why I grouped these two books together. I hope you enjoyed a look at this small part of the books. For a full synopsis of the book or to add it to your TBR, click the picture and it will take you to their Storygraph. The link on the caption will take you to it’s Goodreads.

Do you think these sound good? Which one of these will you add to your TBR? Will you go pick one up today since they’ve finally hit shelves! Let me know in the comments!
