These themes will vary! It could be based off of some book mail I just received, pop culture, something personal to me, a headline from the news, a trend I noticed when I was buying books for my library system, etc. I hope you stick around to see all the themes and book recs I come up with!

It’s Pride Month and I wanted to highlight the LGBTQ community! For this week I wanted to highlight the Ace community specifically after reading a bit of this book and basically falling in love! Shapes of Love is all about a girl and her friend who find themselves in a PR romance where they fall into a platonic love all over again. I saw a lot of myself in just the synopsis of this, as I’ve been questioning for a long time. I can tell this book is going to feel like a warm hug lol And it’s going to cross off a Popsugar 2026 prompt that I didn’t even realize until yesterday LOL And Idk if this cover speaks to y’all like it does to me, but I love it. The colors, the way the heart looks, just everything looks good. I will be reading this for real soon. I have two more books to finish and I will pick up this one next. [This book is YA and is out now!]
This one is also about Ace characters but is actually an anthology. There’s something in here for everyone. If you like fantasy, romance, paranormal stuff, it’s all in here. I read a few stories in this when it first came out, but there wasn’t an audio when I first got it, so I didn’t actually finish it. Now that Being Aro is out, I want to change that and read both of them. I’m not huge on fantasy, but they’re short stories and this one also said something about haunted cemeteries and I am HERE for that part. The synopsis also says, “no two aces are the same in these 14 unique works that highlight asexual romance, aromantic love, and identities across the asexual spectrum.” Find out more about the Asexual identity here. [This book is YA and is out now!]
Well, there you go! Here I’m just going to talk about why I grouped these two books together. I hope you enjoyed a look at this small part of the books. For a full synopsis of the book or to add it to your TBR, click the picture and it will take you to their Storygraph. The link on the caption will take you to it’s Goodreads.

Have you read any characters that have Ace characters? What’s your favorite? Make sure you add these to your TBR and let me know in the comments when you do!
