These themes will vary! It could be based off of some book mail I just received, pop culture, something personal to me, a headline from the news, a trend I noticed when I was buying books for my library system, etc. I hope you stick around to see all the themes and book recs I come up with!
This Week’s Theme: Feral Rage!
This week’s theme came to me on accident. I actually read a lot of these types of books back to back. And the more I read, the more I got disgusted and the more mad I got. So, I thought, “Why not share it with y’all?” lol So I called this list Feral Rage because I read a lot of shape-shifters who were going after gross men. And it happened in like 2 or 3 different books. I can definitely understand why the women in these transformed and took care of business in these. If I could, I would too. In this one, the main character is a cheerleader who is drawn to different people and told to dispose of them. She transform into a monster and can only switch back when she gets rid of the person. I don’t want to say much about what she transforms into because it is a spoiler, but just know, that it would scare anyone who was out and about, no matter what time of day!
This one is the same, but we do know the time of thing that it transforms into. It all starts with a hole in a cupboard. The hole actually connects with the girl’s locker room. You can go from there and assume where this is going. I think this is the one that would have made me shape-shift as well. Because what do you mean?! I have never wanted to jump into a book in a long time. And this one made me so mad. Once the book gets going, you find out that they start missing time and when they come to, there is blood and fur and more somewhere around them. I don’t want to say more because of spoilers, but just know that EVERY SINGLE PERSON in this book is beyond disgusting. I was mad for days after I finished this. I think I had to read a nice contemp after I finished this.

There’s another that I planned to add to this, but as it turns out, a part of it was written by AI -__- And I couldn’t in good conscience put that down as a recommendation. But the author does admit to it and it was actually because the MC did something with AI. And tho I don’t like it, someone might be more ok with it because they were trying to make that part accurate. If you want to know which book, leave me a comment and I’ll get back to you! Otherwise, all of these have people driven to feral rage because of gross men. And paired with The Hulk because yeah, he’s a shape-shifter when he gets mad. They’re only different because The Hulk could get mad at anyone lol
