Two for Tuesday: Graphic Novels with Kiddos that can See Ghosts

These themes will vary! It could be based off of some book mail I just received, pop culture, something personal to me, a headline from the news, a trend I noticed when I was buying books for my library system, etc. I hope you stick around to see all the themes and book recs I come up with!

Today’s Theme: Graphic Novels with Kiddos that can See Ghosts

First of all, I am IN LOVE with this cover lol She looks like a Ghostbuster! Which I guess is fitting because it’s about a girl who’s known as “Ghost Girl” because her dad owns a “Paranormal Removal Expert.” While she’s wasting her time doing a “punishment sentence” with her dad, she realizes that she can see and interact with the ghosts that her dad exorcizes. This undoubtedly ends up making for an interesting time when she meets a friendly spirit named Oliver…. And listen, if the art is ANYTHING like the cover, I’m already sold. GIVE IT TO ME NOW!!!!!!!!!! (Unfortunately this book comes out 1/2/24. BUT publishers if you see this, pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee send me this! lol) [This book is YA!]

This one is a little different. The main character can see ghosts, but her dad doesn’t believe in them. She saves the ghost from being eaten by a Hungry Ghost and they become friends. This one is inspired by Chinese mythology and I CANNOT WAIT for my hold to come in from the library. Also, if the art is like the cover, I know I will love it because this cover is also amazing. Do you see the expression of the ghost on the bike? And of course the creepy one in the top corner. This one is going to be fun! [This book is MG!]

Well, there you go! Here I’m just going to talk about why I grouped these two books together. I hope you enjoyed a look at this small part of the books. For a full synopsis of the book or to add it to your TBR, click the picture and it will take you to their Storygraph. The link on the caption will take you to it’s Goodreads.

What about you? Do you like ghost books? Graphic Novels? Which one of these will you add to your TBR? Let me know in the comments!
