Seventeen-year-old Harper Westbrook isn’t afraid of monsters…she is one.
For the past three years, she’s been one of the Blood Bound―girls and women cursed with a bloodlust only satisfied by killing terrible men. Once every three months, she trades in her pom-poms for a lethal throwing axe. Her life is led by a strict set of rules to keep her dark secret as hidden as the bodies she buries.
And her number one rule? Stay away from Grayson Jones.
The boy she was totally falling for until the night her curse manifested, everything went horribly wrong, and she killed his father. It was self-defense. Or at least that’s what she keeps telling herself.
Grayson is an investigative reporter for their school paper, and he’ll stop at nothing to find the truth behind his father’s gruesome death.
As he follows new clues down darker and darker paths―to an unbelievable world of mythical beasts and the men who hunt them―Grayson doesn’t realize he’s on a collision course with Harper’s biggest secrets. Now, she must stop him before he exposes her family to the Hunters, even if it means risking her life and heart.
Because who could ever love a monster like her?

*MY THOUGHTS*

Lordt this will be forever cemented in my brain. Why? Because I spent so much of it saying, “WTF?!” LOL I was so into this monster situation, I’m ngl I wanted to be one too haha This really was crazy.

Ok so the monsters were obviously my favorite part of this whole book. They did the bad stuff to the bad men. I hated that they had to do this, but I was at least happy it was happening to the people who it happened to. But I wish I could have gotten a better description of what they looked like. We just were told about their talons and their feathers? But it was still cool tho. It just sucked to have that much like pressure on her. She was a teenage girl! I can’t imagine having to go through this as an adult lmao

Ok so the whole time the mystery was going on, but let me tell you, I had NO IDEA what was going on. I did not think they were ever going to figure it out. I did, but I didn’t think they would lol I thought I was going to have to wait on a book 2! But as it turns out they finally get everything figured out. But I think that was the most frustrating part. They finally figured it out, but there was so much more happening than I thought LOL So I didn’t like hold it to anyone because I only guessed a PIECE of what was going on lol

The romance was annoying to me tho lol Y’all know how I am about romance at dumbass times. And Lordt this was one of those times. I hadn’t expected them to like actually go through with everything after what happened at the end, but it things just kept happening. This was one of those times I thought it was really wild lol

This was good. Definitely wasn’t anything that I was expecting tho. I’m not sure if there’s going to be a sequel, but just know it left room for one. I would absolutely read a book about the other person that was involved in this. But I mean… if you want to know, you gotta read it to find out!

Overall, I give this
