Four brothers. Two missions. One explosive read. Jennifer Lynn Barnes returns to the world of her #1 bestselling Inheritance Games trilogy, and the stakes have never been higher.
Grayson Hawthorne was raised as the heir apparent to his billionaire grandfather, taught from the cradle to put family first. Now the great Tobias Hawthorne is dead and his family disinherited, but some lessons linger. When Grayson’s half-sisters find themselves in trouble, he swoops in to do what he does best: take care of the problem—efficiently, effectively, mercilessly. And without getting bogged down in emotional entanglements.
Jameson Hawthorne is a risk-taker, a sensation-seeker, a player of games. When his mysterious father appears and asks for a favor, Jameson can’t resist the challenge. Now he must infiltrate London’s most exclusive underground gambling club, which caters to the rich, the powerful, and the aristocratic, and win an impossible game of greatest stakes. Luckily, Jameson Hawthorne lives for impossible.
Drawn into twisted games on opposite sides of the globe, Grayson and Jameson—with the help of their brothers and the girl who inherited their grandfather’s fortune—must dig deep to decide who they want to be and what each of them will sacrifice to win.

*MY THOUGHTS*

I….. I don’t actually really know how to review this lol Did I feel like this was a cash grab? Yes. Did I like it anyway? Also yes. This had every bit of everything I’ve loved about the original series, so I was happy about that, but that was really it. I guess I wanted more of ALL of them. This review might be spoilery because I can’t really talk about it without saying at least some of what it was about lol

When I say I wanted more of all of them, we only really got Grayson and Jameson. Grayson was still his moody self and that was annoying. He put in a lot of work to make the new characters dislike him. And then got mad when they did lol It was weird to me. But then again, Grayson was never my favorite. Jameson was because of Avery, but even then I wanted some cutesy scenes with them, but yes, it really was mostly about the brothers and their new puzzles that they’re trying to figure out at the time.

Grayson and Jameson were actually on two separate missions in this book. It really confused me the way she had it split up too. With Grayson he was getting close to a side of the family that he didn’t know. It was interesting because he knew them, they didn’t know him. Now it’s still super confusing because their freaking family tree is so weird and all over the place. Which is why Grayson wanted to make sure that the siblings he was trying to get close to didn’t know who he was. I understood why he did it, but I don’t think they deserved that. His puzzle was mostly trying to figure out what his dad had done and how to keep it from his family.

The real crazy was Jameson. Him and Avery decide that they want to help out Jameson’s dad who came out of nowhere. (He was better than me because I definitely would have said hell naw) But they went to this cool ass club that they had to buy into and everything. I don’t want to go too much into his puzzle, but it reminded me of what happened in the past books. They had to use their logic and think. I was trying to figure things out along with them and that made the story that much more fun.

At the end of the book it was also announced that there will be another set of games that Avery’s going to do. It’s in the next book, The Grandest Game. That one sounds like a weird Charlie and the Chocolate Factory lol But I also think it has the potential to be my favorite read of the series. Well besides the very first one.

This one was good, but it wasn’t really memorable. I feel like it was just to introduce the new characters and get us ready for the big finale of Avery’s games since she did get the idea from the ones that Jameson went to. Let’s hope this next one is the big thing I’m hoping it is. (And let’s also hope we will get more Jameson and Avery lol)

Overall, I give this
