Stacking the Shelves #505 & the Weekly Wrap-Up!

This bookish meme tells the blogosphere what all we borrowed, bought, and received for review. It’s hosted over at Tynga’s Reviews.

From KU:

I didn’t know that The Name Bearer was YA. If I did I would have read it to see if I wanted to order it a long time ago. I also snagged Waiting on Wendy because someone said it has Princess and the Frog vibes? It’s a little repetitive so far, but I’m only like 35% in.

From the library:

I’m a firm believer that this strike will hurt marginalized authors more than those that aren’t because they already get the short end of the stick. I don’t want them to ever be left out. So yes, I support the union, but I can’t in good conscious block them completely out. So any author that’s marginalized from HC and their imprints, I’ll leave their names out and let you go and seek them out if you want. In this case, Ivelisse Housman is autistic and so is their main character. And James Ramos is African American and non-binary.

Bought:

And both of them were hella good! I started this year off with some bangers! lol

From Simon & Schuster Audio:
From Netgalley:

I have no idea why, but I am in love with the cover of Live Your Best Lie. I really hope that one is as good as the cover is.

  1. Ooh very nice! I’m going to have to be careful about checking the publisher on my new reads in these coming weeks. I feel like I only heard about this strike a week or two ago and felt totally out of sync with the bookish world! Lots of new to me ones here! I hope you end up enjoying each and every one of them!

    Here’s my StS

    Have a GREAT day!
