*MY THOUGHTS*

I knew I was going to like this one solely because it was set in a senior living village lol And I was correct. This was so much fun! I loved the story and thought some of it (ok most of it) was hilarious lol

With that being said, I didn’t actually care for the love interest. He was down bad! But he barely said anything nice about her, so even being in his head it was hard to tell lol And even then it was like eh ok he’s talking about how she’s so beautiful. But then things got even worse when he was on the wrong side of the table two different times in this book. And it was two times too many in my opinion. It felt weird for him to barely say anything good about her and then fight against her two different times. I wanted to smack him for a little bit.

I did like the plot tho. I loved the thought of Jia finding refuge in her grandma. I use my mom for this and I’m also an adult lol Idk why, but this is so sweet to me. I lost my grandma so I loved watching her interact with hers. I also really liked Henry’s relationship with his grandpa. This was such a sweet story. I also thought it was adorable And although I didn’t love him, watching how they came together and fell in love.

The whole time I was listening to this I was laughing. Abd actually so were they lol Even during their smexy time. Idk why, but that creeped me out. I know it seems like it’s cute and I know it’s real, but it just seemed weird to me lol No I’m not asking for them to be super serious, but I do think it would have been more beneficial for me as someone who only half believes their romance.

This was cute tho. Even still, I thought it had some issues but it was still entertaining. I’ll definitely go back and see what else Susan Lee has. Hopefully there’s another one with this cute old person charm.
