Eurydice Dimitriou has always been the innocent sister, but she’s finally ready to step out of the long shadow cast by her powerful family…and the ex who shattered her heart. Perhaps rough hands on soft skin are exactly what she needs to forget her heartbreak once and for all?
Charon Ariti has been Hades’s right-hand man for years. He’s given everything to the lower city, but now he’s ready to take something for himself. He’s only too happy to give Eurydice a special kind of education…but is her heart really free enough to be claimed?
Orpheus Makos will do whatever it takes to make things right. Once the golden boy of the upper city, he’s now a shadow of his former self. He’ll do anything to get Eurydice back…even if it means she’s not coming into his arms alone. Three hearts. Three futures. Countless ways to get it wrong.
But with enemies slipping through Olympus’s faltering barrier to lay siege on the lower city, a trio of broken hearts will be the least of these would-be lovers’ worries…

*MY THOUGHTS*

It’s no secret that this is a Katee Robert stan account. I will read her grocery list if she let me. I am awed by her knowledge of Greek mythology and her imagination that lets her twist and change that world into books like this. And this one didn’t seem any different.

Ok so this wasn’t really like my number one fave in the series, but I was still sucked into this book because I don’t think I’ve ever seen Hades (yes I know this was not a book about him lmao) that soft with anyone. I loved how he was with his family. So yes, I was most definitely freaking yelling when I found out what was happening and how we were learning about this through the eyes of his second. I was so mad at the people doing this… And I didn’t even know who it was. Idk why someone trying to hurt Hades made me so mad lol I think it had more to do with the family man he was trying to be. Idk, he seems mean, but fair.

Also this set up the next book nicely. I was already biting my nails when they were talking about the Minotaur and Ariadne. The real myth between the two was really different, so I can’t wait to see what Robert does with this. It seems weird because in this book is seems that he is really mean, but for them to maybe end up together? I can’t wait to see what happens.

Now for the romance in this one, it is definitely spicy. (I meannnnn, it’s Katee we’re talking about.) It’s a closed polyamorous relationship. I thought it would feel weird since they were just getting together and one part of the couple seemed to be insta-lovey, but while reading it it really like made me see that he was happy with him being there because she was happy. And that seemed to be the most important for the both of them. And anyone who put their person ahead of everything else just screams the one! (Or two lol) I thought they seemed happy together and was glad they were all happy in the end.

I DID have an issue with the plot in this one. Was the Hades drama the side plot and their romance the main thing? I thought it was the other way around, but because there’s so many POVs, it was hard to tell what’s the bit we should be focusing on with the spice and all. I wanted more of the Hades drama and more of what happened at the ending. I guess I wanted more stuff happening to balance out the spices.

Nevertheless I did still enjoy this and I can’t wait for the next one. I hate that this is going to be the finale. I’m already wrapping my head around the fact that it’s almost over! I don’t want it to be over! I hope that Robert has some ideas for the sea since she’s written Triton and Poseidon now….. Please, please, please take us to the ocean!

Overall, I give this
