*MY THOUGHTS*
This was a hot mess LOL But in a good way. I even put in my notes, that I “love whatever it is that’s wrong with Olivia Worley” because what in the world. This book was unhinged. It definitely was NOT the book that I thought it was.
I really need to start reading the synopsis. To be fair, I don’t think this was actually in the synopsis lol It had hints, but nothing concrete. But it did say this was a thriller, so that should have given me a clue, but I was shocked as soon as things started getting dicey. This was a thriller that started out like rom com, and somehow that was the perfect recipe for me. I got way too into this and couldn’t stop listening to it lol
The only thing I didn’t like about this was the way Worley decided to make the person unreliable. I hate when they’re inebriated. There’s so many other ways to do it! It just gets annoying that it’s the same thing all the time. I think I just wanted it to be different somehow. It wasn’t a bad thing and I wasn’t holding it over the book, but I still enjoyed it.
As for the characters, don’t trust any of them. Literally all of them were unhinged. Except one. but I won’t tell you which one because spoilers. But yeah, don’t get attached to any of them and don’t trust any of them either lol All of them were a hot mess. You won’t guess it just like I didn’t. I didn’t get it until they did lol And I’m ok with that. The pieces were all over the place, but once they started landing, everything started connecting and I finally got there at the same time they did.
The ending had me sit up in bed and be like WTF?! I did NOT like that ending lol I remember looking to see if I was missing a part of the audiobook because WHAT? Talk about a bombshell ending. I mean it was justified, but it was crazy af. It really makes you think…. Who’s the real villain and who’s really to blame in this?
I hope y’all pick this up. Worley is crazy and has a lot going on because what is this? I need some more people to talk about this ending with, so y’all pick this up and let me know what you think!
Overall, I give this
