Book Blogger Hop: Stand-Outs!

Which book really showcases your favorite author’s style, and what makes it stand out?

As someone who reads every genre, this was hard. So I chose two books that had some of everything. What makes them stand out? There’s history to learn, there’s romance, there’s some ghost activity, and there’s Black characters. And they all had good convos and good banter in some parts as well. All things I liked.
