But dating is the last thing Jazz had on her mind.
Until Lamar Anderson sits next to her at the local sports bar. He is sexy, fun, and refreshingly drama free. With him she’s able to pretend that everything is alright. But as real life intrudes, Jazz has to decide if she can leave the past where it belongs… for a love that she deserves.

*MY THOUGHTS*

I swear it seems like we waited forever for this book. Till like the 4th quarter or something. And I would do it again! I’m sad this series is over! I expected to love this because I loved this series, but I DID NOT expect to find someone I loved more than Russ. LORDT Lamar is HIM!

Ok so I guess I’ll start with the characters. Jas gave me a real hard time at times. I kept yelling at her not to lose that man. He seemed quiet, but I knew the moves he was making would end up being loud af. She was scared and embarrassed from the peolpe of her town, and while that’s understandable, ain’t NOBODY would have been able to pull me off Lamar for long enough to listen lolol Danielle Allen got a touchdown with Lamar for real! I swear she plucked him right out of my bookish fantasies lol 6’5″, football build, big arms, and was a quiet man but also putting it down. LORDT. So I get it. All that attention on her and she was just trying to be with family and teach the youth. So flag on the play goes to all those haters in Lamar’s and the people’s comments just because they were mad Lamar wanted me *ahem* HER and not them.

Them together was sweet to watch. I was tired of her letting them haters win, but when they finally got together it was sweet. She was juking the hell out of them questions from her students, but she absolutely FUMBLED him when it came to the games. Ain’t no way I would have let them bitches show up and not me. She should have been front row and center. As a quiet girlie I understand why she wasn’t, but she had hands! She just needed to show them once and be done with it LOL I just hated giving them or even letting them THINK they had the upper hand. They did NOT need to know that they got to her. And let me just say Lamar got an extra point from me when he finally let people know what was really up.

Along with the romance, family is also a big thing in this novel too. The Hail Mary list that her aunt left her was so cute. I cried my eyes out as they started completing it. (I also cried like I did when the Eagles won Superbowl 52 & 59 when the flower thing happened…. I won’t say more than that) And then of course her friends that were more like family. They’ve all been there for each other throughout the whole series and it made me so happy to see them continue to show up for Jas as well. Also I just want to say Idk how tf Danielle Allen made it to where we got a glimpse into the other books in some ways before this one was even written. (Like in Book 2 with the “picture” and then it happened in this one too? Allen is a genius playmaker!) But time-out, I will say the only thing I wanted more of was the guys altogether too. They were hilarious in their individual books, so I can’t imagine how funny they would be altogether.

This is the first series I’ve ever read where the story is told simultaneously, but from different perspectives. There’s a small lil recap every time. I was never confused or couldn’t remember and I love that. Definitely a W from the author. I genuinely had a good time reading this. Definitely my favorite in the series. I’m sad this is it for them tho. I keep hoping they find another friend from somewhere. Or another family member from one of them. Something lol

Overall, I give this
