Armchair BEA: The Wrap-Up!

Unfortunately here is another year that I couldn’t make it to BEA 🙁 Living in Texas and going to NYC is a bit too far for me. Especially going by myself. I just couldn’t make the leap to do it. Next year tho I am MAKING my mom go. She’ll be retired by then so it’ll be ok lol But ANYWAYS, since I can’t go, I will be bringing BEA to me…. And my armchair lol

WRAP-UP

This is my second ABEA and although it was fun, nothing beats wishing I was at the Javits Center with everyone that was able to go. But you know what, I will NOT complain. I met some amazing people this week just from blogging alone and for that I am grateful. The fact that I met so many Texas people astounds me. Where are you bloggers usually? lol I hardly ever come across bloggers and their blogs when they live close to me.
I know I had some funny posts and some kind of serious so I hope you don’t think I’m crazy. (I promise my mind is not always that all over the place.) But that’s what I loved most about ABEA, it brought up some really great topics, but it also allowed me to be myself and bring whatever I wanted to the table. I like that it didn’t constrict my creativity.

Here are my posts:

Intros & Literature: Where I show you a little about me and then show you some of my favorite books!

Author Interactions and More than Just Words: Where I gloat that I met Marissa Meyer and Jennifer L. Armentrout and had a super weird conversation with Katie McGarry on Twitter! My more than just words is all over the place lol I only read comic books and have only very recenly started listening to audiobooks.

Expanding Blogging Horizons and Novellas/Short Stories: Where I talk about my original feature Beyond the Book  and then tell you all about some of my favorite read novellas and the ones I want to read now!

Giveaways Galore and Beyond the Barriers: My giveaway for ABEA is there as well as me talking about diversity in YA!

Topic of Choice and Young Adult and Middle Grade: My topic of choice was some of my bad bookish habits and since I review YA/MG, I chose to talk about why I read YA at 25!

Well that’s it for ABEA 2014! Thanks to everyone who stopped by! I appreciate all the love!

  1. Glad to finally "meet" you. Will have to return to read all your posts. I'm sure you'll get to BEA soon and will love it.

  2. Cool that you found some Texas bloggers during Armchair BEA (that won't include me — but Missouri is pretty far from NYC, too!).

Looks like you had a great Armchair BEA!
