In Act Your Age, Eve Brown the flightiest Brown sister crashes into the life of an uptight B&B owner and has him falling hard—literally.
Eve Brown is a certified hot mess. No matter how hard she strives to do right, her life always goes horribly wrong—so she’s given up trying. But when her personal brand of chaos ruins an expensive wedding (someone had to liberate those poor doves), her parents draw the line. It’s time for Eve to grow up and prove herself—even though she’s not entirely sure how…
Jacob Wayne is in control. Always. The bed and breakfast owner’s on a mission to dominate the hospitality industry—and he expects nothing less than perfection. So when a purple-haired tornado of a woman turns up out of the blue to interview for his open chef position, he tells her the brutal truth: not a chance in hell. Then she hits him with her car—supposedly by accident. Yeah, right.
Now his arm is broken, his B&B is understaffed, and the dangerously unpredictable Eve is fluttering around, trying to help. Before long, she’s infiltrated his work, his kitchen—and his spare bedroom. Jacob hates everything about it. Or rather, he should. Sunny, chaotic Eve is his natural-born nemesis, but the longer these two enemies spend in close quarters, the more their animosity turns into something else. Like Eve, the heat between them is impossible to ignore—and it’s melting Jacob’s frosty exterior

BETWEEN THE COVERS!

*This book is part of the adult contemporary romance genre! It is more mature than YA. I have featured it in Between the Covers as a way to feature the few Adult and New Adult titles I am beginning to read!”

*MY THOUGHTS*

After reading Dani’s book, I knew this one was going to be a banger! Hibbert seems to only get better with each book. And I wasn’t wrong. This one was good too. (But my heart still belongs to Dani!) I really enjoyed reading all the sister’s stories!

After Dani’s parents lay into her about not ever finding her niche, she feels upset, but she also knows what they mean. So she sets off on her own to find something she can call her own. She needs to prove that she can do this. Jacob is the owner of a Bed and Breakfast and having some problems with a cook. When Eve runs into Jacob (quite literally I might add) the two do not hit it off. Jacob is surly and Eve is more carefree. But now the Bed and Breakfast is understaffed and Jacob knows he needs help. But he doesn’t want chaotic Eve’s. But too bad, he got it anyway. And the longer they spend together, the more they find that they like each other’s company more than they thought.

As usual with her books, I LOVED the characters. Eve and her chaotic ways were my favorite this time. (Not counting her grandmother of course lol) She may have had some issues, but so does everyone else. I thought her sunshiney energy paired well with his grumpy one. And Jacob was cute, but he didn’t really BRING anything to me, like Redd and Rafe did. As for the returning characters, I was glad to see they hadn’t changed a bit. They were still all over the place and still made me laugh with every scene they were in.

The romance between Jacob and Eve was ok, but I did think something was missing. Or maybe it was because the spice level seemed like it went down a bit for me. (Or maybe I should stop comparing everything to Dani *facepalm*) It just seemed like they weren’t together that much in a romance book. I wanted to see more of them together. Now don’t get me wrong, the parts where they were together was good, but it seemed it was few and far between. I know that’s just me and my opinion, so I didn’t really take off anything from that.

Normally in romance books the plot is what I struggle with the most. The author is sometimes too into the romance to have a healthy plot or too into the plot to keep the romance going. But this time, I really enjoyed the plot. I LOVED the Bed and Breakfast setting, I loved seeing Eve evolve into the person she wanted to become, and I loved seeing all the things that brought them together.

This one wasn’t my favorite, but I did enjoy it. This series is definitely one that needs to be on your TBR if you don’t have it already! These sisters come from a wacky family and they’ve all found some amazing romances along the way. I Definitely not a series you should pass up!

Overall, I give this
