She wanted her dream cabin. She’s getting her worst nightmare.
Creaky floorboards, crisp fallen leaves, chilly evenings by the bonfire… Thora Williamson thinks she knows what to expect when she moves into her family’s long-abandoned mountain cabin for a fresh start. Instead, she gets the surprise of her life when Lee Halliday—her ex’s best friend and her own personal nemesis—pulls up in the driveway.
What’s even worse? The place is not a simple fixer-upper, and Lee is determined to help with the renovation. But no amount of elbow grease will fix the mysterious phone calls or the unsettling sense they’re not alone.
The more Thora and Lee work together, the more it becomes clear this cabin has unfinished business… and so do they. As eerie autumn nights lead to unexpected sleeping arrangements—Thora Is the cabin trying to push them closer, or keep them here forever?

*MY THOUGHTS*

This was really weird? I think I wanted more “hauntings?” They started too late in the book. It was a lot of explanation and back story. Idk I liked it, but I think I would have liked it more with more?

So the characters were the thing that annoyed me the most. Thora was annoying. She hated this boy and didn’t even know why? Like even the people around her were like “Girl, what?” It was weird. And the whole time I secretly hoping that Lee got away from her because she was weird lol It was sad, but I didn’t feel the chemistry between the two of them. It made it even more weird when they got to the smexy times. Idk I just couldn’t get into it. And I think with this being a romance reader, I just didn’t care for it.

The whole time I was also annoyed at the house hauntings. I think it was because there were some happening and they didn’t know it was happening? But it finally took forever for it to come to light and for them to notice. I think it would have been better if there had been some kind of world building? Like I mean we know what the rooms were like and the big things from each room, but the minute details and the small things that would have made it a bit more spooky, they just weren’t there.

But if you’re looking for an entertaining paranormal romance with enemies to lovers, I think this would work fine. I hope y’all pick this up and let me know what you think! It’ll at least work for a spooky good time!

Overall, I give this
