Best friends have one week in paradise to fix their friendship or fall apart in this heart-stopping, utterly romantic new novel from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Every Summer After and One Golden Summer.
Frankie and George have been best friends since they were eight years old. Both passionate, impulsive, and headstrong—they’ve always clashed . . . and come back together. Until now. It’s the eve of Frankie’s wedding weekend, and she doesn’t know where they stand or even if George will show up as her best man.
Then, at the start of the festivities, in walks George. For one glorious evening, surrounded by her loved ones, Frankie’s life is finally perfect. But it all comes crashing down when her fiancé dumps her the next morning, leaving only a note as an explanation.
Crushed and confused, Frankie returns to her family’s home to wallow. But George has a different idea and a plan for healing Frankie’s broken heart. He wants her to go on her honeymoon. With him. For one week, to the lush rainforests and misty beaches of Tofino.
Frankie agrees, seeing the trip for what it really is: one last chance to repair their friendship. Even if it means unearthing secrets and long buried feelings neither knows how to handle. Even if it means falling apart for good.

*MY THOUGHTS*

This was good! I couldn’t stop listening. But I will say, whatever type of delulu she had, I need some. Because how she missed all them signs is crazy af. When literally everyone else knows, even your brothers, yeah you are supreme delulu lol

Ok so the romance was the big thing in this. They were a very sweet couple. And I mean that even just as friends. They met when they were 8 and they got to grow up together. Over that time they hung out at all hours of the day and night, they got each other’s names tattooed, and they even had little sayings like, “George is OF me, not seperate.” AND STILL one of them thought they didn’t like each other. I found myself getting annoyed at one point because what in the world do you mean y’all are just friends and you don’t see how he could want anything else. I was literally appalled because how did everyone know but her? That was crazy.

When they finally got it together they were cute, but it was still weird because we don’t exactly know about the ex. Why did he leave her with just a freaking note? I mean I KNEW why, but I wasn’t for sure. But then its confirmed a little later. And that’s basically when the rest of everything goes to shit. But like brother that’s on you. You had way too much time to explain. Especially with the type of relationship y’all have. It just didn’t make sense that you didn’t say anything. But even with all that, I don’t think there was a real reason why she had to get all high and mighty and mad and cause that third act break up.

The other thing I liked about this was the Climate Control/Environmentalist angle. George had a cool ass job and he was able to look into all those things. I would have wanted to do that at one point and even got my undergrad degree in Mass Comm, but I just didn’t see how I would be able to raise a family like that. So s/o to them for being able to figure it out.

This was good but she was a hot mess. I wanted to shake her at one point. Frankie was trippin and George was just giving her whatever she wanted. So basically they made the perfect romance book pair lol I hope y’all pick this one up too!

Overall, I give this
