The second book in the Royal Blood series about an American girl who threatens the royal family by exposing their darkest scandals—even as they get more sinister.

American girl turned monarchy nightmare, Evan Bright, has gotten used to the press about her but the media attention has only seemed to get worse.

From desperate clickbait articles about her and the President’s son to Royal Record headlines pitting her against Princess Maisie, it seems everyone is dying for Evan to return back to America for good. Meanwhile Evan is receiving mysterious threats about her real story being reviled in a tell-all biography.

When more information is leaked about Evan, she fears she will always be Britain’s media villain. But the threats escalate when there is an attempted assassination with no suspects…and Evan believes the person is in the palace’s walls.

They say what doesn’t kill you will make you stronger…but what if it’s the royal family who wants you dead?

*MY THOUGHTS*

This was a lot of fun. I don’t want to say too much since it’s a sequel, but it was really fun. I mean that in a listening sense because the subject matter itself isn’t. (Check the Content Warnings above) Although I’m a little mad tho because no one said this was a cliff hanger. I was not warned lol

Ok so I liked this one ok, but the first one is still the best. When I finished this last year I was waiting everyday to see if the next one was going to come out and if so when. This one was also good, but it spent so much time in the mystery, but it doesn’t give us any real reward? Like we aren’t clear on who actually did it. And like what’s going on in this, I think we deserve to know who it was. And like, some culprits are outed, but they don’t give the main one and I was annoyed by that. We spent this whole time reading this for the book to end with no closure.

The plot itself kept me rooted to the book tho. I couldn’t move AT ALL. I remember basically whipping my head around to make sure I heard something right. When I tell you this book was full of twists and turns and ups and downs! It was all over the place and I couldn’t stop reading it. I was even upset that I had gotten so busy because I couldn’t sit down and read. I was being so dramatic, so I know it will get you all too.

The same characters from the first one were there, but some have bigger roles. And something traumatic happens to one character in particular which has a domino effect on the rest of them. I don’t want to say anything and risk spoiling it, but let’s just say I hid from my toddler to be able to listen to what happens to him. Because it made everyone spiral, even me.

This story picks up right where the first one left off. But now everything has come to a head… And then it was over. So basically I’m going to be hanging together by a thread waiting until the next one comes out. This last one is going to be interestingggg.

Overall, I give this
