This bookish meme tells the blogosphere what we’re waiting patiently (and sometimes not so patiently) for! It’s hosted by Jill over at Breaking the Spine!
Stephanie Perkins returns with another blood-chilling contemporary horror novel, the perfect companion to her New York Times bestseller There’s Someone Inside Your House, soon to be a Netflix feature.
A traditional backwoods horror story set–first page to last–in the woods of the Pisgah National Forest in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Two girls go backpacking in the woods. Things go very wrong.
And, then, their paths collide with a serial killer.

Why I’m Waiting: There’s Someone Inside Your House wasn’t exactly scary, but I’m hoping she realized this and made this one more heart pounding and scary. And also, let’s be serious…. Horror isn’t really what I associate with Stephanie Perkins. (unless you mean horror movies lol) I always think of Anna and the French Kiss. I love seeing the way she branches outside of the genre she started with. It shows her wide range of writing.
What about you? Are you waiting on this? Will you be waiting on this with me? Did you read her other horror book? What did you think? Let me know in the comments!
Wow, I feel like Stephanie Perkins has been gone for a bit.
Yeah she’s definitely been gone for a minute. I wasn’t sure she was even writing anything. And then there’s a cover reveal and the date says its coming out this year?! lol I’m not complaining lol She can write all the things!
