*MY THOUGHTS*

After reading and really liking Blackout, I was really excited to get Whiteout. I just knew it was going to be like the other one with a swoony story that somehow came together. And although the structure was the same, it just wasn’t the same for me.

Ok so the number one thing I liked about all these stories was the way they were all interconnected. This time all the characters are trying to help someone with an apology to their significant other. But this time they all knew about each other and they were all helping each other out. I have to say, I would have preferred it to the way they did it in Blackout when they were all just living their own lives but just so happened to see the other characters in their story. Another thing I thought was cute was the fact that they don’t want to tell people who wrote which story. I will spend the rest of my days trying to guess who did what lol

My favorite stroies were the one with the mall and the two friends and the one with the snowball fight. I also liked the one at the airport, but the love triangle threw me off. But these stories worked good for the overall story and even had a cute one of their own in their story. They were all about very different characters too and I loved that. There were cishet couples, there were LGBTQ couples, and all. I loved them all. I also liked the setting. I don’t know why I didn’t put two and two together and realize it was a holiday story, but it was! And I love that it was a place in the South with snow. As a fellow southerner, I knew exactly what they meant when it was said that we shut down everything for more than an inch. Because that is 10000% true.

I didn’t care for the overall story in this one tho. Because in the beginning she was in trouble for the thing that happened with her girlfriend. But then she escape s and tries for this huge thing to happen. But what happens at the end? Did she get caught? Was she in trouble? I need to know. It just felt like no closure. Which was weird because it was about different stories written by different authors.

This one was a lot different than the other as far as climate, but I still enjoyed it. I did like Blackout more, but that might be because I’m not a fan of snow lol I hope they do one for all the seasons, like fall or spring. Don’t ask me what they’d be about tho lol

Overall, I give this
