After a case of mistaken identity and an almost one-night stand, two stranded wedding guests have to find their way to their final destination together, in this riotously fun debut romance.
Ada’s little sister is getting married. Which should be a happy thought, right? But the once close sisters have been in a year long fight, the wedding is all the way in Ireland, and Ada is so broke that she just barely managed to get a ticket on a budget airline. And as if things couldn’t get worse, said airline just cancelled her connection. Which means Ada is stuck in London with no way to make it to the wedding.
     Surely she’s hit rock bottom?
So, there’s no reason for her not to spill her heart out about the over-the-top wedding, her sister’s worryingly quick engagement, and the womanizing best man she’s dreading meeting to a handsome also-stranded stranger at the bar. Until she realizes the stranger is headed to the same wedding. Oh, and he’s the infamous best man.
Now, Jack and Ada must put their simmering attraction behind them to make it to Belfast before they miss the nuptials. But between flat tires, missed trains, and suspect hostels, Jack and Ada start to question whether their feelings are worth going the distance, or just a distracting detour along the way.

*MY THOUGHTS*

Listen, I have a weakness in books, and its weddings. It doesn’t matter what or who it’s about, if there’s promise of a wedding, I’m gonna read it. So it’s no surprise that I saw the title of this and added it to my TBR without even reading what it might be about lol

Ok so one of my favorite things (besides weddings) is in this too; a meet cute! well idk if anyone else would call it that, but I thought it was funny. They knew each other without knowing each other lol But I can’t lie, I didn’t care for Jack. That stunt he pulled that first night was weird. But I enjoyed the conversation they had in the bar and I liked that she stood her ground and let it be known that even tho this happened, the woman is STILL not OBLIGATED” to do anything with you.

The romp they had through Europe was cute tho. She had the worst damn luck lol But it all worked out for them. I liked that they were keeping up with the act that they didn’t care for each other. I always think it’s hilarious to watch people justify their thoughts about someone else. Seeing them act like they don’t know what’s happening is always extremely funny. And in this one we get to see them hate each other across Europe, from a broken down car to a missed train and all. All while making you literally laugh out loud.

As for the characters, I can honestly say I never went back to liking Jack. I mean I felt bad for him because of what he was going through, but he also didn’t have to treat them (“the women”) like that. But still. He needed help from someone before bouncing all around like that. And then Ada, I felt for her as an eldest sister myself. I definitely related to some of the stuff she was saying, like she had to “protect” her sister before making another mistake. But I did feel like she went too far. In most of the instances actually. I felt like she was trying to put so much into her sister’s life because she didn’t want to address her own. I do understand the wanting the best for your sister, but this was a bit much and I wish the way she had given some insight on her healing instead.

This was a cute story. I don’t think I would have picked this up if I hadn’t seen so many people talking about it. I thought it was a fun time that never actually felt like a debut. I hope to see more McBreen in the future.

Overall, I give this
