These themes will vary! It could be based off of some book mail I just received, pop culture, something personal to me, a headline from the news, a trend I noticed when I was buying books for my library system, etc. I hope you stick around to see all the themes and book recs I come up with!
Today’s Theme: HoHoHo-micidal Clauses!
As much as I love me some holiday romances, my other favorite genre is actually horror and thrillers. So when I saw what the title of this one was, I didn’t ask any questions, I just basically threw it at my KU account lmao I started it immediately and let me tell you, Mrs. Claus is THAT GIRL! Santa had some….. problems at his stops around the world, and one event brought out a completely other side of her. And ever since, she’s never been the same. Throughout the story she’s telling us about her life via a podcast while she serves time in prison. Whew chile I couldn’t stop reading this one. I need more of y’all to read this so I can talk to y’all about it. I had to subject my husband to it and his only comment was WTF lol [This is an ADULT book. In this one, it was Santa’s turn. When the book opens we find a man dressed in a bad Santa outfit that smells and he’s drinking. He’s holding some people that he put on the Naughty List hostage. And I mean that literally lol Then they go through the events that put them on the list and Lordt. I can’t say I blame Santa for putting them there. However, because this is Octavia Grant, there is still a crazy ass twist at the end lol I hollered when I got there because WTF lol It was a mess. I had to read the epilogue twice because my brain was not computing. It kept saying “WTF” lol This was very weird. So obviously, I enjoyed every bit of it. [This is an ADULT book. Well, there you go! Here I’m just going to talk about why I grouped these two books together. I hope you enjoyed a look at this small part of the books. For a full synopsis of the book or to add it to your TBR, click the picture and it will take you to their Storygraph. The link on the caption will take you to it’s Goodreads.
What about you? Have you read either one of these? Do you like holiday books other than romances? Let me know in the comments!
