These themes will vary! It could be based off of some book mail I just received, pop culture, something personal to me, a headline from the news, a trend I noticed when I was buying books for my library system, etc. I hope you stick around to see all the themes and book recs I come up with!
Today’s Two for Tuesday caught me off guard. I actually read these two back to back (and y’all know I don’t read the synopsis) so when both of these showed the main character’s exes suspiciously dying, I was caught off guard lol And I’m not talking one, I’m talking like all their exes lol It was kinda crazy. In this one there’s a lot of twists and turns that had me like wtf lol I called one part of this, but the rest, I really had no idea. It was a shock that really made me feel for the main character. You really can’t trust anyone. [This book is Adult and is out Now.]
When I first started this one, and they also started dying, I was like wtf lol I was not expecting it to be kind of the same. But this book was so much different than the other. In this one it’s a groups of friends in college, where one of them has some exes that keep dying. There’s a whole bunch more going on, but I fear if I tell you that I could also spoil it for you, so I won’t say anything else lol Just know that literally everyone in this book got on my nerves. From the main character to the side characters. From the villains to everyone else. They all pissed me off lol But it was ok. Definitely check it out if this is your jam. Dead Exes….
These have only one dead ex, but I thought they counted anyways lol And in Gloria Chao’s book there’s an ex that dies and all his girlfriends find out about each other. That one was crazy lol And in the Pumpkin Spice one, the FMC brings her ex back as a ghost lolol In Glory Daze, Glory’s ex husband dies and his current wife asks her for help to figure out what happened. It was a whole hot mess lol The other two are now on my TBR after doing some research to make this. Death of an Ex is a sequel tho, but it sounds a bit like Glory Daze. I can’t wait to read that series!
