Two for Tuesday: Spaced Out!

These themes will vary! It could be based off of some book mail I just received, pop culture, something personal to me, a headline from the news, a trend I noticed when I was buying books for my library system, etc. I hope you stick around to see all the themes and book recs I come up with!

Today’s Theme: Spaced Out!

This one wasn’t on my radar, but I got sent this one and I hadn’t been able to stop thinking about aliens ever since lol In this one the main characters were filming a movie when they come across something they never thought they’d see… An alien! Can you imagine being the one who doesn’t believe in aliens, but you end up hearing your twin say they were abducted by one? After he had already showed you a rock which seems to be more than just a random one from outside? Yeah this book had me in full auntie mode because I was yelling at them like they could hear me lmao [This book is a MG book and is out now]

This one is also about aliens and a bunch of kiddos who get into some trouble. But this one doesn’t feature an abduction. This one is more about the alien coming down to Earth and blending in with society. But she’s different in visible ways and the soldiers aren’t too happy about it. This book’s underlying message has me already wanting to spread it to everyone. I cannot stress enough the importance of the parallels of the events in this book to real life that we’re experiencing right now. I just need y’all to read it so you can understand. I don’t want to spoil anything, but I will say I hope it’s clear which of these characters you would be. [This book is a MG book and is out now]

Well, there you go! Here I’m just going to talk about why I grouped these two books together. I hope you enjoyed a look at this small part of the books. For a full synopsis of the book or to add it to your TBR, click the picture and it will take you to their Storygraph. The link on the caption will take you to it’s Goodreads.

More Books with Aliens!

1 Picture Book, 4 MGs (1 that’s a Graphic Novel), 1 Adult, and 1 YA Anthology! I chose these because I know there are some really popular alien books out there for all ages, but these are some favorites and some that might not be as known!

What about you? Have you read any books with aliens? Have you read any of these? Let me know in the comments!
