These themes will vary! It could be based off of some book mail I just received, pop culture, something personal to me, a headline from the news, a trend I noticed when I was buying books for my library system, etc. I hope you stick around to see all the themes and book recs I come up with!

Today’s Theme: It’s Lit!
Gas leaks are dangerous. So when I saw that there was a gas leak that was in not one but two different YA thrillers, I knew immediately there would be something crazy going on. In Gaslit, there’s a gas leak that puts a smell in the air and causes some deaths of people in her family. Ella is a bad ass and tries everything in her power to save them as she arrives to babysit. And everything goes downhill from there. This thriller all started with a gas leak and ends with her realizing it may or may not have been an accident. [This is a YA book and it is out now!]
The gas leak in this one isn’t anywhere near as deadly. Well kind of. It’s still deadly in a round about kind of way. Because something is going on in that house… “Nate” is awakened in the middle of the night to some alarms from an unexpected gas leak from the stovetop not being turned off properly. The only thing is, he’s sure he turned it all the way off. He even remembers a small detail about it as he tried turning it off. But something in that house isn’t as it appears. Does someone know that “Nate” isn’t actually “Nate”????????? [This is also YA and is out now!]
Well, there you go! Here I’m just going to talk about why I grouped these two books together. I hope you enjoyed a look at this small part of the books. For a full synopsis of the book or to add it to your TBR, click the picture and it will take you to their Storygraph. The link on the caption will take you to it’s Goodreads.

What about you? Have you read either of these? What do you know about gas leaks? Let me know in the comments!
