Two for Tuesday: Haunted HGTV

These themes will vary! It could be based off of some book mail I just received, pop culture, something personal to me, a headline from the news, a trend I noticed when I was buying books for my library system, etc. I hope you stick around to see all the themes and book recs I come up with!

Today’s Theme: Haunted HGTV

This is probably the weirdest TfT connection I’ve found so far lol Because what do you mean there’s two books out there that have people fixing up a haunted house? And it’s two completely different age groups lol But it was too cool to pass up, so here we are. In this one, the MC’s parents are influencers who flip haunted houses. Except all the houses they’ve flipped aren’t actually haunted….. Until one of them is. And the ghost is doing some insane things, like writing on the wall and more. I know this is going to be a little crazy for a MG novel, but I’m hella excited and I cannot wait until this comes out! [This book is MG and out 09/30/25]

In this one, the main character inherits the house of her mother. Against the wishes of her sisters, she decides to fix it up before she sells it. Her sisters tried to advise her against it because it was their childhood home where their mom went crazy and told everyone that a demon was there. She even wrote a book about their time growing up there. Once she starts going back to the house, different things happen like scratches in the fresh paint, she starts seeing shadows, and so much more. The craziest part of this is the fact that the person fixing up this house in this book is ALSO an influencer. But she’s just a stylist and has a few brands here and there reaching out to her, not house flippers or anything lol This book is a lttle intense, but it’s adult so I’m ok with that. [This book is adult and is out today!

Well, there you go! Here I’m just going to talk about why I grouped these two books together. I hope you enjoyed a look at this small part of the books. For a full synopsis of the book or to add it to your TBR, click the picture and it will take you to their Storygraph. The link on the caption will take you to it’s Goodreads.

Well what do you think? Will you read either one of these? What do you think of today’s connection? Let me know in the comments!
