Two for Tuesday: Giddy Up! It’s the Holidays!

These themes will vary! It could be based off of some book mail I just received, pop culture, something personal to me, a headline from the news, a trend I noticed when I was buying books for my library system, etc. I hope you stick around to see all the themes and book recs I come up with!

Today’s Theme: Giddy Up! It’s the Holidays!

Happy Holidays y’all! It’s finally after Thanksgiving which means the holidays are in full swing here at my house. And as if on cue, all the people in my house also got sick smh lol So I’ve been drowning myself in holiday books trying to stay away from them. So much so that I’m able to catch all the tiny weird happenings that are the same in these books. Like in this one, when the two main characters are stuck at a friend’s house and they happen to be exes….. One of which left the other at the altar. But feelings start to pop up again and it gets hella entertaining. I’m talking even them going on a horseback ride is riveting. Especially since one of the main characters is afraid of horses. And there is a horse thing that happens and she has to be saved and its the cutest thing ever. And yes, if you’re wondering, it’s sapphic and very cute! [This is an Adult Book]

This one really shouldn’t count because she’s scared of all animals it seems like lol She is definitely the fish out of water type and is finding herself at this Inn with this new boy. But she was complaining. I mean I can’t lie, I would complain too if I stepped in horse poop and lost my whole shoe. And for it to be all white like hers was? I would have had a conniption. (Y’all know I’m a mini sneakerhead lol) There is also a horse scene in this one where someone is saved after the horse goes wild, but this one is pretty scary. I think even I would have even been distraught after that one. But it still brought the two of them together, so I enjoyed it nonetheless. [This is a YA book]

Well, there you go! Here I’m just going to talk about why I grouped these two books together. I hope you enjoyed a look at this small part of the books. For a full synopsis of the book or to add it to your TBR, click the picture and it will take you to their Storygraph. The link on the caption will take you to it’s Goodreads.

What about you? Have you read either of these? Will you read either of them? What do you think about horses? Let me know in the comments!
