These themes will vary! It could be based off of some book mail I just received, pop culture, something personal to me, a headline from the news, a trend I noticed when I was buying books for my library system, etc. I hope you stick around to see all the themes and book recs I come up with!

Today’s Theme: Exes in Paradise….
I came across this pairing almost on accident. I picked up this one to read since it sounded messy and I had enjoyed her other book, Wedding Dashers lol By the time I had finished reading it I also heard about Turbulence and I knew immediately I wanted to use these, at least about the traveling with exes part. So basically both of these have the FMC traveling to Hawaii with their exes. So not only are they both second chance romances with forced proximity, they’re also in Hawaii (or traveling around Hawaii) while they do it lol On this one they are traveling on a Hawaiian cruise with her family. They don’t want to mention that they’re going to get divorced, so they’re acting as if everything is fine. Which obviously means they’re trapped at sea in one room and one bed….. [This book is adult and is out 1/27/26]
Ok so y’all know I don’t ever read the synopsis LOL But I ended up reading the first sentence of this one and decided it also sounded good and messy too and a lot like Sunk, so I added it to my TBR. When I finally sat down to read it (and it just so happened to be right after Sunk lmao) I started thinking Now wait a minute lolol In this one Olive is flying to Hawaii on a 13 hour flight and sitting next to her ex as she does it. Of course it doesn’t stop there. Her plans go awry and she ends up having to stay with her ex while on the island. As much as she doesn’t want it to, the past is resurfacing and so are some old feelings…. [This book is YA and is out now!]
Well, there you go! Here I’m just going to talk about why I grouped these two books together. I hope you enjoyed a look at this small part of the books. For a full synopsis of the book or to add it to your TBR, click the picture and it will take you to their Storygraph. The link on the caption will take you to it’s Goodreads.

What about you? Have you read either of these? Do you have either of them on your TBR? Let me know in the comments!
