Today’s Theme: Bookish Characters!
August 9th is actually National Book Lover’s Day! So I wanted to spotlight some bookish characters that you could read about on our special day! So for the first one I chose Love is an Open Book. In this one, the main character is a romance author who has writer’s block. While trying to get over her writing issues, she and her best friend decide to go on a series of dates while they test out different tropes to see which ones actually stick. As a friends to lovers fiend, I am SO READY for this. I saw the audio was on Netgalley and I grabbed it. I cannot wait until I’m able to read this. It sounds so adorable! [This is an Adult book and is out 8/12/25]
I chose this one because its near and dear to my heart. And I haven’t even read it yet. Why? Because one of the main character is a librarian! I love this series and I can’t wait for this installment! In this one, there is a librarian and a single mom who are the man characters. They meet at book club and fall for each other. This is an Afterglow book so it will be a little more spicy than other romance books. So naturally this made me want it more lol I can’t wait to get started on this one later this month! [This is an Adult book and is out 8/26!]
