Two for Tuesday: Black Christmas Books for your TBR!

These themes will vary! It could be based off of some book mail I just received, pop culture, something personal to me, a headline from the news, a trend I noticed when I was buying books for my library system, etc. I hope you stick around to see all the themes and book recs I come up with!

Today’s Theme: Black Christmas Books for your TBR!

So I know I been reading mostly horror lately but I have been in a MOOD! But I know as soon as October comes I’m going to want to read all the Christmas stuff. Make it make sense brain lol So in prep I’m pulling out some Black Christmas reads that i’ve found. So this one came across my timeline last year when it was only released in the UK. I read it when it had a blue and white cover. I liked it enough to buy it on Kindle. I guess I’ll be buying the hardcover when it comes out here in the US. Because obviously I have to have a book about books, but make it Black and romance and a Christmas story set in a bookstore!

This one is a little different. This one is a picture book! I added this because I will most definitely be buying this for my son. I take pride in buying him books that give him characters that look like him and even more so when it’s a character who he might not often see that looks like him. And in this case, that’s Santa. We have other Black Santa books, but none of them show Santa rocking out or staying at the house of the characters lol I can’t wait to read this to kick off the holiday season! I have a feeling we’ll be reading it multiple times.

I also wanted to add this one because it’s a book that I saw while I was on Edelweiss. It isn’t my type of read, but it IS still a Black Christmas book. This one is Christian Fiction, and per a review, they “openly talk with God,” and if that’s your jam, this sounds like a really cute one. It comes out next week on 9/5. I really love the cover and I really think it sounds like a Hallmark Channel movie. There’s a Christmas wedding between the main character’s sister and her ex…. Yes you heard that correct lol And a cute Christmas shop. If y’all read it, report back to me and let me know if I should read it anyway!

Well, there you go! Here I’m just going to talk about why I grouped these two three books together. I hope you enjoyed a look at this small part of the book. For a full synopsis of the book or to add it to your TBR, click the picture and it will take you to their Storygraph. The link on the caption will take you to it’s Goodreads.

What about you? Do you like Christmas stories? Which one of these will you add to your TBR? Let me know in the comments!
