These themes will vary! It could be based off of some book mail I just received, pop culture, something personal to me, a headline from the news, a trend I noticed when I was buying books for my library system, etc. I hope you stick around to see all the themes and book recs I come up with!
Today’s Theme: Advent Stories!
So if you didn’t know, advent calendars are used to countdown the days till Christmas. There are so many cool ones out there nowadays. My kid right now has a Hot Wheels one lol With me, back in the day we used to just make those construction paper green and red chains lol Those were free and cheap and we had them all over the living room at my mom’s house lol But now they’ve made this really cool idea where they have advent stories! Basically you get a book where the chapters are sealed and you unseal one each day, read it, and then pause until the next one. In this one, it was originally released as a regular book, but released as the advent book at Walmart and Indigo. I haven’t read this one because my Wal-mart was sold out, but it seems pretty cool. There are supposed to be some extras in the new advent style one. [This is an adult book and is out now! Its only available in two places as of now!]
This one is cute! I just finished this one. Santa needs help with delivering his presents. It was really cute! Just like the other, you open one chapter each day up until Christmas. This is a really fun way to help with the kiddos continuously asking how many days left till Christmas, this gives them a chance to count on their own. It was so much fun! [This is a Children’s book and is out now!]

There’s even more out there, but the chapters might not be sealed. I’m not sure if they chapters in 25 Days is sealed either, but I know there is a book club reading it and they’re doing a chapter a day!
