Top 10 Weird Character Relationships!
Please note: I mean Weird in the definition of something other than humans being together, opposites that have attracted, etc. I am in no way referencing anything like their orientation, their differences in social class, or anything else. Also please note not all of these are romantic relationships.
- Monstrous by Jessica Lewis features the monster and the human working out a deal before she become Monstrous. I thought this was weird until her deal where she became one too…….
- Sign of the Slayer by Sharina Harris features the weird relationship of a vampire and a slayer.
- Pride and Prejudisce and Pittsburgh by Rachael Lippincott: They found love over a completely different time line. SPOILER: And then she even followed her back. If that’s not the definition of love, I don’t know what is.
- Their Vicious Games by Joelle Wellington has a weird relationship of the FMC and SPOILER: I’ll just say HIS brother.
- There’s No Way I’d Die First by Lisa Springer has two characters who fall for each other and come together WHILE A MURDEROUS CLOWN IS CHASING THEM. Seriously, like the whole time I kept thinking NOW IS NOT THE TIME lmao
- I Feed Her to the Beast and the Beast is Me by Jamison Shea has a weird relationship with the main character and I guess herself? She is the demon and the demon is her. But she doesn’t stay that way. Idk how to explain it lol
- Camp Sylvania by Julie Murphy had a weird ghost person who helped save them at the very end. Idk how they still weren’t all scared. I definitely still would have went home and never returned lol
- Los Monstruos: Felice and the Wailing Woman by Diana López has a weird group in all the friends. They all have an infamous parent and they all bond on the fact that people are mean to them because of their parent. And for whatever reason I loved that.
- Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco has a demon, Prince Wrath as the love interest. Yes she has some weird witchy vibes too, but I still thought it was weird because we didn’t know that at first.
- Belladonna by Adalyn Grace has a relationship with her and Death. And Idk why, but I am weirdly fascinated by that lol (And now in book 2 something is developing with Fate too? Why is this series so good?!)
What about you? Have you read any of these? If so, what did you think of the weird relationship? Let me know in the comments!
OOoh nice! I love the “weird” take on this! For the most part, this is normal relationships from the books I read! Lol! Loved KOTW and Belladonna–still need to read Foxglove but super excited by this premise! And ooh I Feed Her to the Beast is one I keep eyeing and There’s No Way I’d Die First sounds creepy too! And ooh a vampire and slayer falling in love! That’s the real tale that’s old as time! Lol!
Here’s my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
