This week’s topic is:

Books that Give Off Beach Vibes

When I think Beach Reads, I think romance and thrillers. This TTT we’re going to talk about romances!

  • Next Year in Havana by Chanel Cleeton: Y’all know I’m not a fan of historical fiction, but this one stuck with me. Not only does it give an indepth look into politics in Cuba, but it also had a great romance and a great setting. Definitely could see myself laying out reading this in the sand.
  • Beach Read by Emily Henry: Although this one gets a bit heavy, it definitely gave off some beachy vibes. And since it was set on the beach and has beach in the title, I think it will work fine.
  • Tweet Cute by Emma Lord: This book may seem like it’s light and fluffy like the sandwiches from the book, but there is a more heavy aspect to it. Definitely something I’d love to get lost in while laying on the sand.
  • Happy Ever Playlist by Abby Jimenez: This one will have you bawling (or am I the only one?) but it’s still something I can see finishing in one day while laying out.
  • Awk-weird by Avery Flynn: This is hilarious and definitely one I can see paired with a margarita or pina colada and a beach.
  • I Wanna Be Where You Are by Kristina Forest: I loved this one. I devoured this story about Black teens falling in love. There aren’t many of them out there (and by that I mean none) and I’m totes good with reading this road trip rom com while laying out!
  • The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams: We know I love this series. I love the idea of applying bookish romance practices to real life. I hope there’s a contemp romance one coming soon!
  • Don’t Date Rosa Santos by Nina Moreno: I LOVED Rosa Santos! And the fact that it’s set in such a beautiful place close to the water made it all the more better. I could definitely read this close to a body of water like on a beach!
  • Well Met by Jen DeLuca: Another one that I could read in a day if given the chance! The sun could make me fall in love with Simon’s rudeness turned sweetness all over again!
  • The Royal We by Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan: I took a long time getting around to this, but it was still super worth it. Royal Romances are some of my favorites to sweep me out of this world, and I can’t think of anything better than spending a day with this book on the sand and in the sun!

What about you guys? Do you think romances when you think beach reads? Can you see yourself reading any of these on the beach as well? Let me know in the comments!
