Top 10 Books I Can’t Stop Thinking About (Whether I’ve Read them or Not!)

You Had me at Hola by Alexis Daria: I haven’t been able to think of any other romance other than this one since I saw this cover.
We Are Not From Here by Jenny Torres Sanchez: I don’t know why more people aren’t talking about this! I cried my eyes out and it was painful, but it was also amazing. I can see that being required reading.
Cinderella is Dead by Kalynn Bayron: I am HERE for these fairy tale remixes! So far this one is my favorite and I really hope she makes this a companion series somehow. I need more!!!
You Should See Me in a Crown by Leah Johnson: This was one of the cutest books I’ve read in a long time! Intersectional and so effing cute; it was just AMAZING!
The Voting Booth by Brandy Colbert: I finished this book on the 4th of July and here I am still thinking about it. I even got into a book slump because of this book. I laughed, I cried, I got angry, everything with this book. If you haven’t read it, do it now! It’s so good!

Crazy Stupid Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams: Thankfully I was just approved for this one Netgalley, because I love this series and I have been waiting on this one since the title was released. I cannot wait until it gets closer to the release date so I can read it! I’m giddy waiting on it!
The Roommate by Rosie Danan: I have heard nothing but good things about this one! And then once I read the synopsis, I knew I needed it too. I can’t stop thinking about this one and wondering why it’s taking so long for it to get closer to reading it lol
Dear Justyce by Nic Stone: It’s Nic Stone. Enough said. I don’t think I have to say much more than that. And on top of that, it’s the sequel to Dear Martin, another book I adored, so of course I can’t get this one out of my head.
This is My America by Kim Johnson: As you can see, I’m currently reading this right now. It’s set in a place in Galveston County (Texas), and many of you know, I was raised in Galveston and I go there to visit my parents all the time. And living in Houston now I’m so close, it doesn’t matter what I’m doing, my surroundings always make me think of this book.
Legendborn by Tracy Deonn: I have been thinking about this book since I read the PITCH for it back in 2018. And now that it’s almost here, MY BRAIN CAN’T TAKE IT. I keep randomly seeing the cover different places and then I get sad that I don’t have it in my hands to read right now.

And last but not least, I had to include Wings of Ebony by J. Elle! I didn’t put it on the graphic because it doesn’t have a cover yet, but this is another I have been excited about since before I read the pitch for it. And now I find out it’s about a “Black teen in Houston” and of course, I just need it now. I mean come on, it was pitched as “Wonder Woman and The Hate U Give in a Wakandan world.” That and being set in Houston…. How much more of a “Nikki” book is there?!

What about you? What book will you not stop thinking about? Any on this list that you can’t stop thinking about too? Let me know in the comments!
