TTT: Modern Books You Think Will Be Classics In The Future!

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish and is now run by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week she will post a new Top Ten list . Everyone is welcome to join.  This week’s topic is:

Books that Would be Classics about Feminism:

Free Period by Ali Terese so we can destigmatize periods. Moxie to say girls should be able to wear whatever they want. Truth is by Hannah Sawyerr to show the power of choice. And If Looks Could Kill by Julie Berry to protect our women.

This book to show that Book Banning is still alive and well but we don’t have to engage.

Sports and social causes where they can’t deny that we have talent! Also there to remind them we are not their magical Negros. And we are allowed to care about and do more than the sport we play. We can and we will make mistakes. AND THAT’S OK!

One book to talk about gun violence and about how they’ve normalized it.

These books to show them how police brutality is also being normalized.

To show them what a healthy and non-healthy relationship look like.

If you want to stick to the “classics” you’ve already been reading. Obviously those that are better tho.

What about you? Any other books that you think will be classics or required reading? Let me know in the comments!
