Top 10 Books of my Did You Know Series for Black History Month!

So I was really thinking about what I wanted to do for Black History Month and after seeing an alarming amount of people out there say they can’t find Black books… Well I got frustrated. So, I came up with this idea when I saw Fat Girls in Fiction from Instagram do theirs about how Fat Girls belong in all tropes. I thought this was a bad ass idea and started thinking on how I could do something like this for YA. I knew I was going to have to do something called a Book Buzz during my job’s Teen Services Meeting this week, so I decided to try something like Fat Girls in Fiction, but with YA and genres and Black people instead! So basically I’m making it easy. You find the genre you like and just pick from there. Because if you like the genre, you’re bound to find something you like right?
I made some graphics that I’ll be sharing throughout the month and I hope y’all enjoy them! These aren’t the actual ones, I cut some of the books to make 10 and used a different template, so be on the look out for the final copies on my Insta and my blog! I also didn’t include all the genres I made like non-fiction and novels in verse, because those aren’t my faves so they didn’t make my Top 10. But they were all still wonderful and I still want people to know they’re out there. Just in case those books ARE your jam and these aren’t!

LMAO And I just looked at what the TTT is for Feb 28th and it’s legit going to be another version of this but all ages. I really should learn to look at the rest of the topics first. Maybe I’ll choose another genre? Maybe I’ll build on one of the ones I have here…At least I have time to decide.
