TTT: Books that Surprised Me (in a good way)

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish and is now run by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week she will post a new Top Ten list . Everyone is welcome to join.  This week’s topic is:

I’m not a huge fan of historical fiction, but I love horror so I gave it a try anyway and I loved it! I’m also not a fan of books that deal with the great outdoors and cozy mysteries, but both of the next two SLAPPED. The next one dealt with fires, but it aligned too good with what we down South deal with with hurricanes. And lastly, since I have my own journey with religion, I was nervous I wasn’t going to like this one. But I loved it.

Another cozy mystery, but its also an older woman which I never even thought about before, but I actually really enjoyed this. And I’m not a huge romantasy fan, so this was a wild one for me to like. And then the Grinch one had SO MANY mixed reviews, so I really wasn’t sure what to think of this one. But I liked it. It was long, but good. I’m not a huge lover of non-fiction, but this one was good! And I learned so much since this was about something I’d never heard of before. And let me just say, I have never been scared of butterflies before, but this was good enough for me! I bet not ever see another one in real life lmao

What about you? Do we share any of the same? Let me know in the comments!
