Top 10 Books I’d Gladly Throw Into the Ocean!

Wait, why am I throwing it in the ocean? Is it because it was bad? Because the plot twist was cray cray? But I feel like I just did one about DNF’ing, so I’ll say I threw it because the plot twist was crazy!

-One of Us is Next by Karen M. McManus: If you’ve read this, you know I’m talking about the ending. Because although I didn’t throw it in the ocean, I did throw it lol
-Crush by Tracy Wolff: I HATE the way this series went, but by the time I read the plot twist that caused me to throw this one, I was already invested. And now I need to know what happened.

-The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes: This plot twist was crazy. I was glad I was listening to it via audio, because if I had been reading it, I probably would have thrown it in the ocean.
-The Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins: I was actually spoiled for this one, so I didn’t throw it, I just didn’t read it for years after its release. I remember only choosing to read it because the movie was finally coming out.

-Verona Comics by Jennifer Dugan: After reading Hot Dog Girl I was all set to read another fluffy, fun book like that one, This was not that lol I threw it because I was crying my eyes out at the end.
-A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson: I can normally pick the person, but I didn’t figure this one out. And when I did, I remember throwing my book like, “NOOOOOO!”

-Daisy Jones and the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid: Ok I didn’t throw this one, but I was surprised. I was NOT expecting that one tidbit at the end lol
-A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer: I was super shocked when I read the ending to this. I remember thinking I had so many questions. And after the second book, I still had questions. This was a lot lol

-We Set the Dark on Fire by Tehlor Kay Mejia: Listen, when I got to the end I was DESPERATE for the next book. And knowing I didn’t have it, I threw it lol
-The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid: I called the plot twist, but I did not know I was going to cry like I did. I cried REAL tears on my commute back home. I know I looked crazy and had mascara running everywhere. It was sad. And had not been listening to an ILL audio of it from the library, I would have probably have thrown this one too lmao

What about you? What books and their plot twists made you want to throw them in the ocean? Any of the ones you see here? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Yeah, that Crush plot twist was a whopper! I didn’t like being led on, but I will admit it didn’t take long to adjust to it! Lol. Definitely remember the great spoiler for Mockingjay. Never read that series but I just remember sooo much anger regarding what happened there. I enjoyed ACSDAL and its sequel, it’s the final book that left a lot of people a little mad. Which I get. I mean I liked it, but yeah, I still did hope for a bit MORE to the conclusion than what we got. Oh well.

    Here’s my Tuesday Post
