Top 10 Bookish Merchandise I’d Love to Own

Take this list with a grain of salt. For the most part, I always look on Etsy to see if my bookish merch is there and buy it lol

Any coffee mugs: I don’t have really any with bookish things or sayings on them. Probably because I let go of my coffee addiction when I got pregnant and haven’t picked it back up yet.

Puzzles: I found one on Etsy and it’s super cute! There’s a bookshop and a Black girl and I want it so bad. But I’ve decided against buying it because I have a 1 year old, a chihuahua, and a pit bull. It would take me 33 years to put that puzzle together lol

Some things that say Public Librarian: I wrote a blog post about this for last week during National Library Week, but I didn’t post it for fear that I sounded petty. But I just really want someone to say, “Oh you’re a librarian? That’s pretty cool. Are you a school or public librarian?” And stop just assuming I’m from a school and asking me what district I’m in. Don’t get me wrong, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with being a school librarian, but that’s not what I do. How come no one ever assumes you work for a public library or something?

Commissioned background art for my blog: I always say I’m going to do this. And then I don’t. One day I will.

Commissioned background art of me and my Take Me Away brand: I want something like the worlds are spilling out of a book. Kind of like what my blog has now, but better. Because honestly, I made that on Canva lol

Rando bookstagram props: This is why I’m such a reels person. I don’t have the things to do flat lays and stuff like that. So I’d rather just make a video in front of my bookshelf lol

Bookish Sweatshirts: I don’t have any. I have 2151561 shirts, but I don’t have any sweatshirts lol

More blog bookmark business cards: When I went to my first TLA I didn’t have any business cards. I wasn’t working at a library yet, so I was just there as a blogger. I had gotten some bookmark business cards, but of course, I was a dummy and forgot to put my email on it lol Now I know better and what needs to go on it, but I have just the standard work ones. I really want to make some bookmark ones again for my blog just to have some lol

-Library Ladder: Does this count? I have some basic ass shelves from Walmart (none of which are bolted to the wall smh) and I know they’re not big enough to need a ladder, but I still want one anyway lol

-Bookish sign pointing to places I’ve read: I have wanted one of these since I made my blog. The places would be like Sleepy Hollow, Camp Half-Blood, etc. But now I don’t know where to buy it or if someone would make it. But I think if they did and it was a good price, I’d definitely buy it.

What about you? Would you want any of this merchandise? Let me know in the comments!

  1. OOoh nice! A bookish road sign with direction points sounds awesome! I’d probably list all the Caraval cities myself and that would be all I had room for! Lol. Bookish sweatshirts are good too! I think I have one from Out of Print, though it’s nice it’s not high quality and is already starting to wear out. Library ladder made my list too…so did the Beast’s library which is why I needed the sliding ladder! Lol.

    Here’s my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!
