Top 10 Books Involving Food (That are Not Cookbooks)
-A Dash of Salt and Pepper by Kosoko Jackson is all about a restaurant owner and a cook. I loved this one!
-The Dos and Donuts of Love by Adiba Jaigirdar is a baking book! Another one that I really loved!
-Seven Minutes in Candyland by Brian Wasson is a book that has candy. Idc if it is about candy that I can buy in the stores, but still.
-It’s Kind of a Cheesy Love Story by Lauren Morrill is a cute book about a pizzeria that the MC was born in. Yes, you read that right lol
-Ander and Santi Were Here by Jonny Garza Villa is a book about tacos and elote and agua fresca. If you can read this and NOT want any after you’ve read this? I don’t trust you lol
-Invisible by Christina Diaz Gonzalez and Gabriela Epstein was kind of different. It had a group of kids who have to do community service in the cafeteria but end up finding someone who is unhoused and helps to give them food.
-With or Without You by Eric Smith is a book about Philly Cheesesteaks. Again, if you can read this and not crave one, I don’t trust you.
-Tweet Cute by Emma Lord has some grilled cheeses that I have been thinking about since I read this. I really need to read this again. And make another grilled cheese because obviously lol
-A Pho Love Story by Loan Le is a book that I’ve been singing the praises about since I read it so long ago. And again, if you read this and don’t want to at least TRY pho, I don’t trust you.
-A Banh Mi for Two by Trinity Nguyen is about a food blogger! As a person who loves foodie books and books about social media, I think it is evident that I loved this one.
I know I’ve read more, but these are some of my favorites! And I still have some on my TBR that I haven’t read yet! Have you read any? Let me know in the comments!
OOoh nice picks! I figured contemporary books would make this topic easy, but it was a bit more challenging for me as a fantasy/paranormal reader! Still thought of 10, but some was stretching it! Lol.
