Happy Juneteenth! As a native Galvestonian, seeing Juneteenth being recognized as a national holiday is so cool. I’ve visited the place where the union soldiers made the announcement, and I’ve been to celebrations in the park and the crownings of Miss. Juneteenth over the years. Finding out last year that so many people didn’t know what it was upset me, but seeing people learn about it now gets me excited. Just like seeing Galveston, Tx being mentioned in books. I don’t get to see it too much, so when I saw it in This is My America, I was hella excited. I’m hoping they keep the setting for the new tv show they’re adapting for it!
Anyone ever tell you you have too many books? My obsession could be so much worse! Books aren’t hurting anyone! (I finally got Reels so this is my first one! Be nice! Lol) Anyone else have random piles of books around the house like me? 🤦🏾♀️😂
What about you? Did you get any of these? Have you already read any of these? Let me know in the comments!
Ooh nice new reads! Those are new to me ones. I hope you enjoy them both once you get to read them!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!
