Stacking the Shelves is a bookish mem started by Tynga’s Reviews where we show what we bought, borrowed, and checked out for the week!
Since this is Day 7 of Everyday is Halloween, I went to the library and borrowed some of the scariest books or books with the scariest creatures that I could use for my month long event. Here’s what I got!
Borrowed:
Born at Midnight by C.C Hunter
(I chose this because I had heard a lot about the series. I also saw that there are various types of paranormal creatures in the book and can’t wait to experience them all!)
I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga
I’ve heard so much about this thriller and its soooo good! Even if I can only read it during the day smh lol
For Darkness Shows the Stars by Diana Peterfreund
Although this one isn’t too scary, I’ve been wanting to read it FOREVER. I saw it and HAD to get it!
Rot & Ruin by Johnathan Maberry
I’m not a big fan of Zombies, but I read the prequel of this and was hooked. I decided I would give this series a try.
Texas Gothic by Rosemary Clement-Moore
I’ve been saying I’m going to read this forever, but I could never get my hands on a copy… Finally it turned up back in my library and I grabbed it! And just in time for my event on the blog too yay!
Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare
The TTT post I did the other day really got me into finishing all the series that I had left stalling. So, I saw this and grabbed it. Especially since my librarian said this is the first time it’s been in our library for more than 2 days since its release……….. In January 0_o Crazy right?!
So that’s what I got! What about you all!
This week on Take Me Away:

Wow Nikki, you got some great books! I am on a strict no borrowing from library phase right now (I have way to many fines and my library has way too many books books!)

Love, love, I Hunt Killers. I also need to read Jonathan Maberry's series. I think I own most of his books but I've yet to read them. Shame.
