MY SOUL TO KEEP- Aside from the whole “I scream when someone is about to die” thing, Kaylee Cavanaugh’s life has gotten better. She’s getting to know her dad, doing okay in school and has a hot new boyfriend who understands her in every way. Until the hellion Avari starts tempting everyone with an exotic new drug—demon’s breath
.
MY SOUL TO STEAL- Now on shaky ground with Nash Hudson, Kaylee is taking their relationship easy. But then Sabine—Nash’s ex—storms into their lives. She’s determined to get Nash back and there’s nothing she won’t do to remind him of what they had. And since Sabine has special abilities of her own, Kaylee is headed into a battle she’s not sure she can win
.
REAPER—First time in print!—Though Tod Hudson died two years ago, thanks to his job as a Reaper he’s never had to move on or let go of his family—no matter how much Nash would like him to! But few people know about how he came to accept the job of claiming souls
.
*MY THOUGHTS*
Since this is an omnibus, I’ll break it down like I did the first volume about a year ago. (See that review here!) I won’t review the third book because I already read and reviewed that here. I’m just going to start with 3.5 and 4.
This is #3.5. I was a little perturbed that it wasn’t in order in the book. Only because it messed with my OCD and annoyed the crap out of me. But I ended up still reading it first anyway and I’m glad I did. I gained some back story on not only Tod, but a little more on Sabine and could see why she acted the way she did. I must admit though, it was a little different to see Tod alive and Nash with someone else. But it did help in seeing who they really were. I just wish there had been a different outcome for Tod. But then there would be no story obviously. What I loved the most, was the huge difference in Tod that we see. I’m sure it has everything to do with being a Reaper changing him, but most of the scenes where he was alive were so emotional. It really surprised me to see him that way. I’m glad I read this in actual order, because I saw then what Sabine meant to Nash and was able to connect a little bit to him during Book 4 when I’m sure everyone was still like “OMG Nash how could you do that to Kaylee?!”
