Cowritten by #1 New York Times bestselling author Julie Murphy and USA Today bestselling author Sierra Simone–a steamy second chance Christmas in July rom-com.
After Angel and Luca connected on the set of Duke the Halls and had a whirlwind romance in the literal snow globe of Christmas Notch, Vermont, Luca found himself falling in love. Hard. He’d never been one to believe in fate or true love, but one thing was certain: Angel was his person. He knew it as well as he knew the history of American figure skating. But when Angel left for an art school semester abroad without a word, Luca’s already brittle heart was broken. No one ghosted Luca. Unless he was in a haunted house.
But with the spring semester long over, Angel is back home in Los Angeles for the summer, and unfortunately for Luca, this big town is turning out to be smaller than either of them ever expected.

*MY THOUGHTS*

I’ve been thinking about A Merry Little Meet Cute since I finished it. I remembered waiting to read it until closer to Christmas and being so mad at myself that I did. Although the hold list was way shorter by then, I felt like I shouldn’t have waited. So I was so happy to find out it was going to be a series. And then the announcement for this came out and I didn’t care who it was about, I just knew I had to read it.

Luca has been ghosted and then embarrassed by his ex who seems to have moved back to Paris with HIS ex. After this happening from the person he trusted he knew love wasn’t for him anymore. But now his ex, Angel, is back and he’s here to tell Luca things aren’t always as they appear. Can they get back together and make things work?

Ok since this is a novella, I was expecting the romance to be you know, at the end. Yeahhhhhh, it was not. This was hot. I have to say this is one of those ones where I had to look around and lower the volume on my phone when I was listening. I wouldn’t say this isn’t like a 5 on the spice scale, but it is like a 3.5 or 4. It just seems like a lot because the number of pages.

As for the characters themselves, I was impressed that this had all the makings of a real novel with such a small amount of pages. They both were fleshed out and felt completely real. I liked it so much more than I thought I would. There was also even a third act break up from in this. I was not expecting that lol But short as it was, it was there and it didn’t feel forced or out of place.

This novella didn’t take me back to Christmas Notch, but it was close enough. I was happy to see some one else from there get their Happily Ever After. I can’t wait to get back there in A Holly Jolly Ever After!

Overall, I give this
