There is need. And then there is Fate…

Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn’t exactly awesome–especially when Alexandria’s “other half” is everywhere she goes. Seth’s in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom–so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or what he will do–and sacrifice–for her.

When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send furies–lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and to the gods, and that includes the Apollyon… and Alex. And if that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters didn’t blow bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude… or killing her.

When the gods are involved, some decisions can never, ever be undone.

*MY THOUGHTS*
Let’s start with the first thing you notice about the book…. The cover is BEAUTIFUL! And it actually means something to the book! Which makes it even better in my eyes. The color is stunning and the rose is my favorite flower, so I was indeed sold from the beginning.
Next, what came underneath the books flaps was amazing as well. In it we see Alex training with both Aiden and Seth, neither of which is making her too happy. And then there is Seth who seems to be not just at their training sessions, but EVERYWHERE else, almost suffocating her.
But soon things  take a turn for the worse. Daimons begin to attack the Covenants around the United States and half bloods, students, and pures alike are attacked. And then there’s a huge event that will leave you in tears. Trust me, I was bawling
I must admit I wasn’t too happy considering I’m Team Aiden and this book featured things like the pool scene, but hey, I understand. Regardless of who it was about, Armentrout’s writing still had me on the edge of my seat devouring the pages. Her romance scenes have got to be the best EVER… Like no exaggeration.
Anyway, things begin to get intense at the end of the book. So much so the furies are sent and a battle begins. In more ways than one. This book features on the battle of the aether driven daimons vs their kind, the battle of the love triangle of fate and forbidden, and the unseen force that is trying to force her into a lifetime of servitude.
Pure will leave you breathless and wanting more. If you have not yet read this series, you are certainly missing out.

Overall, I give this
