Nikki’s Trip Recap: At the Lilo & Stitch Breakfast

I probably should have done this before Magic Kingdom since we did it first, but I almost didn’t want to do it. Why? Because we were lateeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. I thought they were going to say uh no, you can’t do this anymore. Here’s what happened……..

My sister is a HUGE Stitch fan. We all signed up for this breakfast for her. We were all ok with it so we just went. But we didn’t do enough research. We did NOT know that the travel time was like an hour. We ended up leaving 30 minutes before thinking we’d just take the bus. Yeah, no. We had to take the bus to Magic Kingdom, then a boat to the Polynesian. We had to wait at both stops. We were LATE LATE. I was getting antsy because I hate being late. I don’t want to give anyone the impression we don’t care about their time. But Idk why I was worried. The Mouse doesn’t care about any of that. They just want you to have a good time. When we finally got there we were sat and still ate with no problems.

And let me tell you…. The food was BUSSIN. I’m always wary of eggs from anywhere after going on cruises and getting those nasty ass powdered ones, but these were real. Or they were some really good powered ones lol And the waffles?! Crispy and soft at the same time! Idk how they got it to be like that, but I think I had like 3 of them lol There was also this pineapple coconut bread that my son LOVED. And when we mentioned he loved it, they sent him a new one that wasn’t cooked as long so it was softer. (my son is 2, so this was really helpful.)

The characters that were there were Pluto, Mickey, Lilo, and Stitch! My kid was scared of them when they got too close, but he was fine when they were far away lol But they were fun. I got the signatures for him and let him sit there to watch lol He was more interested in the bread than anything anyway. He got antsy toward the end, but after a quick diaper change, everyone was ready to go anyway. It was a really fun time.

So despite being like 30 minutes late, they still allowed us to go and I want to thank Disney from the bottom of my heart for that. My sister has special needs and would have been distraught if she missed out on her chance to go. Of course, since we did go, I had to base my experience on some books so, the book rec list that no one asked for Part 3…………..

So to me, books that represent this breakfast is like family for Ohana. I chose books with the found family trope because family can be anyone you choose, whether it’s a group of characters or an alien who was kicked off their home planet lol I also chose books that were set in Hawaii because…. Well duh. One day I’m going to go, but until then I’m just going to be happy to read about it. Again, this list isn’t exhaustive, it’s just those that I have seen that are popular at my job if I haven’t read it, or those that I’ve read and added myself.

What about you? Have you read any of these? Will you read any of them? Do you like books about found family? Have you ever been to Hawaii? Let me know in the comments!
