#MakeItBookish: Going for the Gold Pt. 1

This is probably dumb because I’m sure it’s been done 950,000 times, but i’m sure this is just me being upset that I can’t make displays anymore so here I am. I also wanted to make sure I remember these titles for when I make my lists and curations for work…. So here we are! This was a fun way for me to get some things off my mind while I wasn’t reading or anxiously biting my nails off. I think this was the most productive actually. But I’ve just been finding random things that are happening in life, holidays, food I’ve heard about, etc. and making them bookish. Soooooooo, here’s some I made for the Olympics.

I have ALWAYS had a thing for the Summer Paralympics/Olympics. I have watched them as long as I could remember. And I used to run in the Little Olympics in elementary, I did track in middle school and high school, and then ran city track when I was out of high school. And because of that, the summer Olympics have had a special place in my heart ever since. Since then I’ve been watching them religiously. So basically I’m hella excited for the games to start in less than 2 weeks! So, here are some graphics I’ve made since then to help me funnel some of that excitement. I do have some more but I will dole them out sparingly!:

Track and Field:

People to watch in this event: Sha’Carri Richardson, Noah Lyles, Quincy Wilson

Swimming

People to watch in this event: Katie LeDecky [LeDucky] (I have called her this since I found out who she was. Because she’s so good at what she does and she’s just as much at home in the water as ducks are lol) Simone Manuel

These are my two favorite sports. The water events, like diving/swimming/Synchronized swimming and track and field of course. This is why I chose to start here. And I chose mostly YA/MG because that’s what I buy for work. I tried to do at least 2 per age group. I hope one of you goes to your library soon and checks one out! There’s some for all ages and all different genres!

What about you? Have you read any of these? Do you want to? Let me know in the comments!
